MONROE — The Bel Canto Singers will feature the Great American Songbook music of Irving Berlin at their spring concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30 at the Monroe Arts Center.
This is their rescheduled spring concert that was snowed out in mid-April.
The singers chose an unusual concert time, 6 p.m., for the convenience of the audience. The concert is late enough for folks to enjoy being outdoors on an autumn afternoon and allows time to watch the noon Green Bay Packer game.
Since beginning in 1979, the Bel Canto Singers have gained a local audience with their arrangements and harmonies. Allen Redford directs the group, which is accompanied by Renee Setterstrom. Violinist Robert Eversman and pianist Patrick Beckman will also take the stage at this concert.
The Bel Canto Singers include: Susan Anderson, Hans Bernet, Bobbie Bernet, Tracy Bristow, Mike Freund, Ed Grabow, Lisa Hendrickson, Jeff Ingebritsen, Julie Johnson, Dale Johnson, Megan Jordan, Shelly Jordan, Sally Lanz, Donald Maas, Daryl Miller, Jane Olson, Carolyn Page, John Patterson, Suzanne Rohloff, Jon Rohloff, Laura Schmiedicke, Renee Setterstrom, Bob Severson, Haley Shores, Mary Soddy, Bill Spontak, Parry Stevens, Michelle Stubbe, George Vernon, Marcia Wald, Amy Whiteman, Nadine Whiteman and Don Zimmerman.
