The Sugar River Bee Keepers held a beginning bee keeping class March 2 at the New Glarus High School with people all over southern Wisconsin in attendance to learn about beekeeping.
Presenters touched on the life cycle of bees, how to get the bees into a new hive, equipment needed and keeping the bees healthy. The Sugar River Bee Keepers meet at 7 p.m. on the last Monday of the month at the Town of New Glarus hall. The meeting schedule is posted on the Town of New Glarus website and maintains an active Facebook page.
