Beef workshop set in Darlington Oct. 3

DARLINGTON — Grant and Lafayette County, UW-Division of Extension, is offering a Beef Cow-Calf Workshop on Oct. 3 in the Lafayette County Multi-Purpose Building, 11974 Ames St., Darlington. 

The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the meal will begin at 6 p.m. The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. and conclude by 9 p.m. Cost to attend will include one continuing education credit toward Beef Quality Assurance. Three credits earned during the three years of certification will allow for no additional training necessary for recertification. Amanda Cauffman and Josh Kamps will discuss the following topics: Calf preconditioning and weaning strategies; calf marketing (feeder, background or finish); and beef market outlook (2019-20)
