MONTICELLO - Dylan Beckwith, Monticello, was presented the Eagle Scout Award in a court of honor Saturday, March 10 in front of family, friends and fellow scouts at Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello.
Beckwith, 15, joined Monticello Cub Scout Pack 106 in September 2003.
With help from more than 25 people - and with funds provided by the Friends of the Library, cooperation of the Monticello Village Board Library Committee and Monticello Public Library staff - Beckwith was able to build a 12-foot by 12-foot storage shed for the Monticello Public Library as his Eagle project.
Beckwith, the son of John and Stephanie Beckwith, earned his Eagle rank after an Eagle Scout Board of Review on Dec. 21, 2011.
