MONROE - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Green County announces it has received a grant of $1,000 from the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc. to support School-based Mentoring.
Mentoring helps children with homework and school behavior and relationships. It helps children deal with stressors and stay out of trouble. Children learn homework is important and eating healthy is a good thing. The longer a child is matched with a mentor, the stronger the positive results. Big Brothers Big Sisters has school programs in Albany, Brodhead, Juda, Monroe, Monticello and New Glarus schools.
