MONROE - Most area residents have either seen or tossed a dollar bill onto the ceiling at Baumgartner's Cheese Store and Tavern on the Square. New for the next year is what will happen to the money once brothers, Tyler and Chris Soukup, owners of Baumgartner's, divide the money and donate it to community organizations.

Once every two years, the dollars come down off the ceiling shortly after the Cheese Days festivities wrap-up. After removing the money, the Soukup brothers divide the money and donate it to community organizations, such as Green County Humane Society and Habitat for Humanity of Green County.

From now through next Cheese Days, for a $10 donation, people can make a guess on how much money will come off the ceiling next fall. The person with the correct guess will split the guessing game donations with the two Monroe Optimist Clubs.

Those who are wanting more information regarding the guessing game rules, how much money has been taken off the ceiling after Cheese Days and other details, can stop at Baumgartner's, 1023 16th Ave.
