This year the Monroe Middle School LMC had another great team compete in the Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology Association’s Battle of the Books.
Students split up the list of 20 books to read from the beginning of the year until January when they began practicing for their state battle. At the end of February, The Bookworms: Reaghan Schmelzer, Ada Henderson and Brinley Roidt, competed online in the State Battle of the Books against the rest of Wisconsin’s middle schools. They worked hard reading books, writing summaries and notes and doing practice battles.
