NEW GLARUS — The Board of Directors of The Bank of New Glarus and Sugar River Bank Branches recently gave back to the community with a combined donation of $1,800 to the Green County area public libraries in support of the 2019 Collaborative Summer Library Program, “A Universe of Stories.”

Representatives from the Albertson Memorial Library in Albany, Belleville Public Library, Brodhead Memorial Public Library, Monroe Public Library, Monticello Public Library and New Glarus Library each received a check for $300 in support of their individual summer reading program. Several employees of The Bank of New Glarus and Sugar River Bank Branches were on hand to present the check to each library on the Board’s behalf.

“Power of Community” is a campaign introduced by the Wisconsin Bankers Association as a way for banks to celebrate the communities they serve, whether it’s volunteering at a local nonprofit, fundraising for a charitable organization, using a bank office to collect items to be shared with a local group or participating in National Teach Children to Save Day.

The Bank of New Glarus and Sugar River Bank Branches is headquartered in New Glarus and has branch offices in New Glarus, Belleville, Monroe, Juda and Brodhead. The Board of Directors for the Bank includes Greg Engen, Gregg Erickson, John Kundert, John Ott, Faun Phillipson, Ron Schaaf and Steve Schneider.
