Gene and Jeannie Baker, Monroe, celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012. They were married on Oct. 22, 1977 at Kirkwood United Methodist Church, Kirkwood, Ill.
The couple are the parents of two sons, Nicholas (Sarah) Baker, Monroe, and Kevin (Carisa) Baker, Calamine. They have two grandsons, Nathaniel and Cameron Baker, Monroe.
Gene works for the U.S. Postal Service, Brodhead, and Jeannie is a registered nurse at Med-Suge at St. Anthony's, Rockford, Ill.
The couple will observe the anniversary with a family dinner.
