PRAIRIE DU SAC - Badgerland Financial, a customer-owned financial cooperative, recently awarded 22 $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who will be pursuing their interests and studies at a short course, technical/trade school or university this fall.
Applications were evaluated based on academic, extracurricular and community activities and achievements. Students also were asked to write an essay about an activity most meaningful to them and the impact it has had on their lives and the lives of others.
Area recipients of this year's $1,000 scholarships are:
Jordyn Delzer, daughter of Jerry and Kim Delzer from Argyle, is a recent graduate of Black Hawk High School. Delzer will attend Iowa State University to pursue a degree in animal science.
Jenna Rupnow, daughter of Jeffery and Debra Rupnow from Argyle, is a graduate of Black Hawk High School. Rupnow will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville to study agriculture education.
Isabele Wedig, daughter of Michael and Joni Wedig from Darlington, is a graduate of Darlington High School. Wedig plans to attend Marquette University to study biomedical science.
