This photograph of women and children on the front steps of the Babler School in 1943 is much different than most other photos from the one-room schools.
This school was located at the intersection of Highway 39 and Marty Road in Section 28 of Mount Pleasant Township. It was converted into a home after the school closed in 1962 and is still being used for that purpose.
If you are able to identify any of the people in this photograph or have other photographs of the groups of people who attended any of the Green County one-room schools, contact Matt Figi at 325-6503 or mfigi48@tds.net.
