MONROE - Azura Memory Care will provide a community presentation, "Insight into Dementia: Experience a Better Understanding" from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Super 8 Motel, 500 6th St.
The presenter will be Lindsay Scholz, director of community relations for Azura Memory Care. The interactive program will include an overview of dementia, brain exercises and tips on how to live a brain-healthy lifestyle. Attendees will have the opportunity to take a virtual dementia tour, which offers insight into what it is like to live with dementia.
The virtual dementia tour, created by Second Wind Dreams, uses educational resources and sensory stimulation to provide family and professional caregivers a way to experience the challenges faced by those living with dementia.
