Author to speak at library

MONROE - The Monroe Public Library will host a program by Middleton-Times Tribune reporter Katherine Perreth at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 in the library's second floor program room, 925 16th Ave.

Perreth will discuss her experiences with her son, Ben, as chronicled in her book "Making Lemonade with Ben: The Audacity to Cope." She chronicles the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical effects on the family after 7-year-old Ben is found in a coma.

The free event is open to the public and no registration is required. Copies of the book, signed by Katherine and Ben, will be available for purchase.
