ARGYLE — The Argyle Public Library will host author Derrick Quick, who will read from his novel, “The Soul of the Unbroken” at the Argyle Public Library Tuesday, March 24. 

Quick is an avid reader and a lover of books. He grew up in northern Illinois, and is the youngest of four siblings. Recently, he married his wife Skye in August of 2019. When he is not reading or working on his novels, Derrick enjoys working out and being with his family. His first book, “Losing Weight in High School” was inspired by Derrick’s desire to help children that are trying to lose weight, but may not know where to start. 

This publication helped propel him into the world of writing and now he has recently finished his first fiction novel, “The Soul of the Unbroken.”
