BROWNTOWN - The Green Rock Audubon Society will host the first of two spring bird walks from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6 at the Cadiz Springs State Recreation Area, Browntown.

While there is no charge to participate in the walk, Cadiz Springs requires the purchase of a daily or annual admission sticker for vehicles entering the park.

Both beginning and experienced birders are welcome to join John Patterson and Robert Ault, both local bird enthusiasts, who will lead the walk beginning at the east shelter. Bluebirds, turkey vultures, sandhill cranes and bald eagles all inhabit the park and surrounding area.

The second spring bird walk is scheduled for Sunday, May 19.
