MONROE — The Green-Rock Audubon Society has awarded two $1,000 scholarships for area students pursuing higher education. Holly Barnett is now a freshman at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse majoring in psychology with a minor in neuroscience. Noah Brown is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point majoring in natural resource planning. Both students graduated from Milton High School.
The Green-Rock Audubon Society uses a grant from the Gibbs Family Fund administered by the Stateline Community Foundation to support these scholarships and to support summer camp experiences for youth interested in conservation and wildlife habitat preservation.
