MONROE - Family are invited to enjoy cookies, hot chocolate, a visit with Santa and local artists from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21 in the Monroe Clinic hospital lobby.
Local artists Tina Duemler, Kathleen D'Angelo and Sarah Aslakson will display their artwork in the rotating art exhibit and discuss their techniques and ideas.
Exposure to art can reduce the need for pain medication, promote shorter hospital stays and reduce stress - especially important during the busy holiday season. Monroe Clinic has partnered with Monroe Arts Center to offer rotating exhibits which change quarterly.
In addition to offering patients and visitors a unique visual experience, the showcase brings local artists and community together. Receptions are sponsored by the Monroe Clinic and Hospital Foundation. All rotating pieces are available for purchase with a portion of the sale going back to the foundation for continued support of the collaborative showcase with Monroe Arts Center.
