Piano students give recital

MONROE - Jane Burdick's piano students participated in recital Sept. 25 and Oct. 2 at her home.

Students performing included Laura, Ben, Miranda and Flora Wenger; Maisie Garwell; Kerrissa Leverton; Jordyn and Sydney Delzer; Emma Peterson; Sydney and Grace Mathiason; Stewart Sathoff; Mary, Bridget and David Kelly; Alysha Witt; Micah Brunner; Montze Garcia; Anna Olson; Alyssa Sinkule; and Ami Eckard-Lee.

Some students performed memorized sections, while Grace, Anna, Alyssa, and Ami play two-piano works by Thompson, Miller and Clementi.

Zion Church to host concert

JUDA - Larry Ahlborn will be in concert at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10 at Juda-Zion United Methodist Church. Ahlborn has been involved in music ministry for 48 years and travels nationwide from his home in Pennsylvania.

St. Andrew's seeks volunteers

MONROE - St. Andrew's Episcopal Church is seeking volunteers to help with the annual Thanksgiving meal. The church is seeking donations of food such as boxed stuffing, vegetables, fruits and cheese. Still other volunteers are needed to help pack and deliver food boxes to a predetermined list of needy recipients in the area.
