Garden to meet on Oct. 26
MONROE - The Monroe Garden Club will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Behring Senior Center, 1113 10th St., Monroe.
A presentation will be given on former country schools.
Jane Swenson will be giving a presentation on the garden project concerning herbs.
Election of officers will be held and there will be a discussion about the use of funds from the spaghetti supper.

Ladies Day fall show is Nov. 19
LENA - The Ladies Day Out fall show is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Lena Community Center, 497 Lions Drive, Lena.
The event includes shopping, socializing, fall and winter fashions, products and ideas from various vendors.
There will be cash-n-carry items available and more than 50 door prizes, as well a grand prize of $100. During the event, non-perishable food and toiletry items will be collected in support of the local food pantry.
