Model Trainmen hold open house
FREEPORT - The Stephenson Society of Model Trainmen will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sat., Nov. 20, and Sun., Nov. 21, at 1055 West Beach St.
The feature display will be the fully operational 110-foot-by-24-foot HO-scale model operating railroad - one of the largest club-based model railroad layouts in the Midwest.
Also on display will be a variety of railroad memorabilia, including pictures of numerous local and national railroads. An admission donation is requested.
The Stephenson Society of Model Trainsmen facility is located on the north side of Freeport. Follow the signs at the intersection of Galena Street (U.S. Business 20) and Illinois Route 26.
