MONROE - Monroe Clinic Diabetes Support Group will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8 at St. Clare Center-New Glarus room.

Society to host program on soil

JANESVILLE - The Green Rock Audubon Society is hosting a program regarding organic soil building methods from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 16 at First Congregational Church, UCC, 54 South Jackson St.

Green Rock Audubon Society members and Brodhead area farmers Tony and Dela Ends returned in January from a two-week volunteer trip to Senegal. They returned inspired to continue helping a North African project, which is trying to help 5,000 farmers learn and employ organic soil-building methods.

Circus coming to fairgrounds

MONROE - Circus Spectacular will be coming to the Green County Fairgrounds, 2581 12th St., on Friday, May 18.

Two show times with pre-parties will be offered - one show time at 4:30 p.m. with a pre-party at 3:30 p.m., and the second show time at 7:30 p.m. with a pre-party at 6:30 p.m. The circus pre-party includes a ride on an elephant or pony, face painting and a meet and greet with circus stars on the arena floor.

Prices are $16 for adults and $12 for children 12 years and younger. There will be a free child pass with the purchase of an adult general admission ticket. Tickets are available one hour before showtimes at the fairgrounds box office.
