Register for 'Relay for Life' in June

MONROE - The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Green County urges those wishing to participate to register their relay teams in time for the Relay for Life, which will be held from 4 p.m. June 24 to 10 a.m. June 25 at the Brodhead High School Track.

Relay For Life events are held overnight as individuals and teams camp out, with the goal of keeping at least one team member on the track or pathway at all times throughout the evening. Teams do most of their fundraising prior to the event, but some teams also hold creative fundraisers at their camp sites during Relay. "Relay For Life draws attention to the progress being made in the fight against cancer," said Jo Ann Steuri, volunteer Relay event co-chair. "Many participants are our family, friends, and neighbors who have faced cancer themselves. Their involvement helps brings hope that, together, we can eliminate cancer as a major health problem."

To register a team, visit www.relayforlife.org/greencountywi or call (608) 728-2980.
