Soup, sandwich supper is March 24
MCCONNELL, Ill. - The McConnell Area Historical Society and Museum will sponsor a soup and sandwich supper from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at the McConnell Methodist Church Hall, 211 N. Hulbert Road.
The menu will include all-you-can-eat chili, vegetable beef soup, cheese sandwiches, celery and carrot sticks, desserts and beverages.
Tickets will be $6.50 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12 and those under 5 eat free.
All proceeds will benefit the McConnell Area Historical Society and Museum.

Vocal concert is March 20 at MHS
MONROE - The Monroe High School Vocal Department will present a March Concert directed by Judy Bennett at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 at the Monroe High School Performing Arts Center, 1315 11th St.
There will be a free-will donation at the door.
Performances include the vocal jazz, concert choir, chamber choir and a cappella groups.
