Lion's Club to host auto show Sunday

ALBANY - The Albany Lions Club will host their eighth annual auto show from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 26, at the Lions Building. Registration is $10 and can be made from 8 a.m. to noon. Judging will take place at 3 p.m., with awards presented by the Green County Dairy Queens at 3:30 p.m.

Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 100 entries, as well as three trophies for each of the 18 classes. Along with judges choices, there will also be a best of show award for Ford, Chrysler/Mopar, Pontiac, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Buick. New awards for this year include the Foreign Exchange Student Choice Award and the Green County Dairy Queens Choice Award. There will also be awards for the participant who came the farthest distance and the club with the most entrants. A variety of foods and beverages will be available, including brats, burgers, hot dogs, pork sandwiches, chips, beer and soda, along with ice cream.

'Ag-tiques' event set for July 2

MONROE - The seventh 8 Miles of "Ag-tiques" show will take place July 2 to 3. The road trip show runs from Monroe to Orangeville, along Wisconsin 69/Illinois 26. Attendees can come at no cost and enjoy good food, crafts, and lots of ag-tiques and tractors.

Each stop has different colors and brands. Come and visit the owners of the tractors and listen about farming years ago. They have worked hard at refinishing these machines and are very proud of them. If interested, call the following people:

MONROE - The Monroe Veterans of Foreign Wars has announced that the VFW Scholarship Breakfast, previously scheduled for June 26, has been canceled.

Lending is subject of webinar

MONROE - The Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) will host a webinar program about alternative lending options and geared toward Green County residents from noon to 12:45 p.m. Thursday, June 30.

The webinar will be hosted by WWBIC's Director of Lending, Barbara Eckblad. Eckblad oversees WWBIC's lending operations and portfolio management.

The WWBIC is a nonprofit, statewide economic development corporation with an emphasis on low-wealth individuals, women, and people of color.
