Easter 'Sonrise' breakfast set
JUDA - Youth group members from the Zion and Oakley United Methodist churches will hold an Easter "Sonrise" breakfast on Sunday, April 24 at the church in Juda.
The breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., and will follow the "Sonrise" service, which begins at 8 a.m.
The menu will include scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, applesauce, coffee cake and cheese along with milk, coffee and juice.
A free-will donation will be taken.

Aux. helps revamp obstetrics wing
DARLINGTON - The Memorial Hospital Auxiliary of the Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County is currently redecorating the obstetrics department at the hospital.
The rooms and hallway were painted and the auxiliary purchased new wood-grain blinds for the windows, shower curtains and bedspreads, as well as a new flat-screen TV and other furniture items.
The group raised money through its 2010 golf outing, held at the Darlington Country Club with music provided by the Sunshine Band.
The group's 2011 Golf Outing will be held Friday, July 22 at the Darlington County Club. This year, the funds raised will used to update the main lobby of the hospital.

Special Easter service, breakfast
MONROE - Special services for Easter will be offered at First Baptist Church, 853 31st Ave.
The church will have communion at 9:30 a.m. and the Easter Worship service will be held at 10:45 a.m.
The service will include special music and a sermon. A nursery will be provided during the service for toddler and junior church with craft-making.
After the service, a free community ham dinner will be provided. It is open to the public.

UMC hosts Easter event
FREEPORT - Richland Free Methodist Church, 3872 West Richland Road, Freeport, is offering an Easter continental breakfast before the service at 10:10 a.m. Sunday, April 24.
Breakfast will be served as buffet style, by entering the auditorium and taken to the pews.
The breakfast is followed by a worship service from 10:20 to 11:25 a.m. No reservations are required.
