MONROE - Green Haven Family Advocates is having its 19th annual Mother's Day plant sale to raise money for services provided to survivors of family violence.

Church to host Easter cantata
ALBANY - The Albany United Methodist Church,400 5th St., will present an Easter cantata Sunday, April 24 during two services, 8 and 10 a.m., at the Albany School.
Under the direction of Terrie Blumer, the 20-plus member choir will present "In the Presence of Jehovah," an arrangement by Russell Mauldin. The cantata includes well-known songs, as well as several new selections.
Childcare will be offered at the 10 a.m. service. More information is available by calling the church office at (608) 862-3206.

Funeral history topic of meeting
MONROE - Rich Hager, co-owner of Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, will present the program at the Wednesday, April 20 meeting of the Green County Historical Society. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the group's museum on 9th Street.
Hager will discuss what funerals were like many years ago in Monroe, and how funerals changed through the years.
