ARGYLE - Argyle Legion Post 251 held its annual appreciation picnic Aug. 25 at Argyle Legion Park. The Post made presentations to several supporters of the American Legion, which supports veterans, youth and the local community.
The Post awards Patriot Eagles to those who provide significant contributions to the community and made presentations to Dave Phillipson, John Matteoni and Dale Wilhelmson. The Post presented the Patriot Award for the second consecutive year to Rackow's Family Sausage.
Rackow's Family Sausage provides support to many fundraising and community development efforts throughout the area. Rackow's has made significant donations to Post 251 for its raffle and auction and provided meat and catering for the annual appreciation picnic. The Patriot Eagle was awarded to Rackow's for its continuing contributions and support of the Post and its programs.
