ARGYLE - The Argyle American Legion Auxiliary Unit 251 is asking for donations for their annual Veterans' Hospital Christmas Drive. The hospital's "wish list" includes the following items.
Clothing: Must be new. Sweat shirts and pants and shirts in sizes M through XXL; socks; and tennis shoes sizes 10 through 13.
Personal Care: Toothbrushes; small toothpaste; chap stick; emery boards and clippers; and pocket-size Kleenex.
Coverings: Lap robes, 4-by-6 feet; tightly made afghans; store-bought fleece blankets; and quilts.
Snack items: Individually wrapped crackers; small bags of peanuts; individual packs of Pringles and similar items.
Therapeutic: Adult coloring books; thin Sharpie markers; large print activity books; plastic cars, boats, airplanes and military model kits; and model paint, paint pods and glue.
Monetary donations also are appreciated and can be mailed to: Argyle Legion Auxiliary Unit 251, c/o Linda Hanson, Treasurer, N6780 Biggs Road, Argyle, WI 53504. Donated items can be taken to the Argyle Community Building kitchen by Dec. 1.
