PLATTEVILLE - Morgan Behnke, New Glarus, and Sarah Kloepping, Juda, are among 13 University of Wisconsin-Platteville senior art students who have prepared for the Senior Art Student Exhibition, a gallery exhibition of the finest works they produced in art classes.
The exhibit will be on display from April 13 through May 15 in the Harry and Laura Nohr Gallery, Platteville. An opening reception was held Wednesday at the gallery. The free exhibit is open to the public.
The show, a required course for all art majors, provides students with training in how to plan, edit, prepare and mount a gallery exhibition. The students planned the show and edited the work as a committee, with assistance from Steve Vance, professor of art at UW-Platteville and instructor of the show. Students completed all of the physical display work needed in preparing the event space and mounting the exhibition.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. The art program is a unit within the UW-Platteville Department of Performing and Visual Arts.
