MADISON - The University of Wisconsin-Madison Homecoming Court for 2010 were announced last Friday. The 10 students took part in the annual UW Homecoming parade in downtown Madison and the pep rally at the Memorial Union Terrace Friday evening after spending hours on campus and community volunteer projects which qualified them to become Homecoming Court members.
The women on the 10-member court included: Megan Virginia Bruggink, 21, of Wausau; Brianna Marie Ditzenberger, 22, of Browntown; Teague Briana Harvey, 22, of DeForest; Lauren Elizabeth Heffron, 21, of Chicago, Ill.; and Susan Michelle Jensen, 21, of Wyoming, Ohio.
The men were: Jon Ryan Liebherr, 22, of Omaha, Nebr.; Jordan Michael Listenbee, 21, of Beloit; Robert William Manier, 22, of Pleasant Ridge, Ohio; Marc Lee Weimer, 21, of Hinsdale, Ill.; and Joshua Julius Wolf, 22, of New Glarus.
Ditzenberger, a UW life sciences communications major, is the co-chairwoman of the Breakfast on the Farm event and is a member of UW-Madison's Association of Women in Agriculture.
Wolf, who played "Walter Tell" in the famed annual "Wilhelm Tell" dramatic play, is a graduate of New Glarus High School, and the son of Carla and Thomas M. Wolf.
All of the court members are seniors. This year no Homecoming king and queen were named, however, the court members were introduced during Saturday's UW football game against Minnesota at Camp Randall Stadium.
