Area student earns AgriGold internship

ST. FRANCISVILLE, Ill. - AgriGold has employed Matthew Klein of Monroe, as a Region 8 Sales Intern for the summer 2009 growing season. Klein will work with Corn Specialist Bob Gates in the counties of Carroll, Jo Daviess, and Stephenson in Illinois, and Green and Lafayette counties in Wisconsin. A 2007 graduate of Monroe High School, Klein is now a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville studying agribusiness management and engineering technology. Klein works as a bartender at the Potosi Brewing Company and is an active trap shooter.

Members of the AgriGold Intern Team are responsible for assisting the Corn Specialist in achieving profitable growth and development of a district within the overall strategy of AgriGold. This includes assisting with planting hybrid research locations as well as coordinating and completing all vigor and emergence ratings, plant population counts and signing for each. They will also deliver in-season seed business, develop and actively implement a plan to coordinate and complete a sign advertising program on AgriGold customer's fields as outlined by their AgriGold Corn Specialist. The members of the intern team will also have the opportunity to plan, execute and complete an AgriGold Customer Recruitment Meeting.
