DARLINGTON — The 2025-2026 Lafayette County Fairest of the Fair applications and Junior Fairest of the Fair applications are now available online.
As the official ambassadors of the Lafayette County Fair, the Fairest of the Fair and Junior Fairest of the Fair, will represent all things fair during parades, public speaking events and each day of the fair. From sharing their vast knowledge of projects and grandstand events to welcoming young children and adults to the fair, the Fairest of the Fairs will serve as an educational resource and representative for the five-day event, July 9-13, 2025.
Besides serving as Fairest of the Fair and gaining lifelong experiences, the Fairest of the Fair will also earn a $500 scholarship. The Junior Fairest of the Fair will also earn a financial stipend. Anyone age 18 and older can apply for the Fairest of the Fair. Anyone ages 11-15 can apply for the Junior Fairest of the Fair program. Learn more and find the application at LafayetteCountyFair.org. The Fairest of the Fair is a scholarship program featuring the best youth and young adults in Lafayette County. Highlighting all things fair, the Fairest of the Fair competes at the state level earning the rights to be Wisconsin Fairest of the Fair. You can talk with the candidates and the newly crowned Lafayette County Fairest of the Fair and Lafayette County Junior Fairest of the Fair each day of the five-day event, July 9-13, in Darlington.
The Fairest of the Fair will represent Lafayette County at the Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs competition in Wisconsin Dells. The Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs contest is a four-day selection process for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Each contestant participates in a powerful week of networking, professional development, knowledge and growth. Contestants have workshops to enhance etiquette for social events, dining, public speaking, communications and tips on becoming a leader. The competition is held during the Wisconsin Association of Fairs Convention and leaves every candidate with invaluable experiences.
