Larry and June Rood, Monroe, are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary on Thursday, May 1.

Rood and June Heinzelman were married May 1, 1973 in Freeport.

They have two children, Randy (Jessie), Monroe, and Andy (Malinda), Hot Springs, Ark., and four grandchildren.

A motorcycle trip is planned in August.
