Gene and Sharon Metz, Browntown, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with a lunch from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at the Browntown Park upper shelter. They were married on July 6, 1968.

They have four children: Allen (Mary), South Wayne; Adam (Stephanie), South Wayne; Amy (Jeff) Zee, Monroe; and Aric, Browntown. They also have seven grandchildren.
