Al and Jan Kash, Monroe, formerly of Minocqua, are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary on June 3. They plan on having a family dinner later in the summer to celebrate.
They were married at St. Anthony's Church in Dubuque, Iowa. They remained in Iowa while they raised their family, then moved back up to the Northwoods. Al is employed at the Monroe High School and Jan is a retired nursing instructor.
They have six children: Dr. Shawn Laibly (Deb) of Oshkosh; Madonna Kash of Phoenix, Ariz., Thor Laibly (Kit) of Madison; Joanne Kash Schellhase (Scott) of Tempe, Ariz.; Brandi Laibly Handel (Scott) of Whitehouse Station, N. J. ; and Chad Laibly (Yang Kang) of Annandale, Virginia. The Kashes have10 grandchildren.
