Gary and Ruth Johnson, Monroe, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Gary Johnson and the former Ruth Sonnenburg were married April 11, 1964 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa.

The couple's children are Tammy Balsiger (Rob Stoflet), Monroe; Tina (Steve) Webster, Monroe; and Renee (Ben) Hansen, Orfordville. Their grandchildren are Jamie Balsiger, Monroe; Bailie Meier, Monroe; Ty Webster, Monroe; Kirby (Travis) Gordon, Charlotte, N.C.; and Kelsey Hansen, Orfordville.

The couple will celebrate with a family dinner.
