John and Ursula (Schulthess) Meier recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Sept. 4, 1971, at St. John's United Church of Christ Chapel.

They have three children: Mike (Brandi) Meier, Dan (Kathi) Meier, and John Jr. (Amy) Meier. They also have three grandchildren.

They celebrated with a two-week land and cruise tour of Alaska in August, as well as with a family dinner at Turner Hall.
