Gary and Valerie Aebly, Monroe, recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
They were married Aug. 30, 1970, at the Peace UCC Church in Browntown.
Gary and Valerie have two children: Scott (Rachel) Aebly, Juda; and Brandi (Jon) Eyler, Monticello. They have four grandchildren.
They celebrated with a trip to Seattle and an Alaskan cruise at the beginning of August that they took with their daughter and son-in-law.
