MONROE - Azura Memory Care will be honoring individuals with Alzheimer's disease by creating a lighted Memory Tree. The event is set for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday outside of the facility, 2800 6th Ave.

A short program and refreshments will be provided at no cost. The event is open to the public.

The tree will be lit from 5 to 10 p.m. each night outside of Azura Memory Care during the month of November. The display is open to the public at any time.

The community can also reserve a light in honor of a loved one touched by Alzheimer's disease or dementia. The cost is $5 per light with all proceeds going to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance Light. Reservations can be made payable to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance and sent to Azura Memory Care, Attn: Paulette Williams, 2800 6th Avenue, Monroe, WI 53566.

Reserved community Memory Lights will be added to the outside display on Thursday as part of Azura Memory Care's Memory Tree Lighting for Alzheimer's and will burn for the remainder of the month.
