NEW GLARUS — Jaden Kreklow, Milo Hoesly and Emily Streiff, 2019 graduates of New Glarus High School, each received a check for $1,000 from the Alvin Ott Scholarship Fund.

Kreklow is attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville studying in engineering. Hoesly is attending Colorado School of Mines studying mechanical engineering and Streiff is attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, studying civil engineering.  

Alvin Ott, a former president of The Bank of New Glarus, established the fund in 1981 so young people from the community would have the opportunity to continue their education. This fund remains possible, in part, due to the continued support of The Bank of New Glarus and Sugar River Bank branches.
