ALBANY - Six juniors from Albany High School joined students from throughout Green County to participate in Government Day on Thursday.
The day was hosted by members of the American Legion, and lunch was provided to the students by the Auxiliary. The students toured the Green County Justice Center and the jail.
Presentations were given by Judge Thomas Vale, Family Court Commissioner Tim Burns, University of Wisconsin-Extension 4-H and youth agent Ellen Andrews, Officer Pam Tourdot, and Les Bieneman of the Monroe school board. The culminating event was a mock trial presided over by Judge James Beer.
