ALBANY - Kindergarten through sixth-grade students at Albany Schools participated in Jump Rope For Heart on Thursday, Feb. 20 and raised more than $4,400 for the American Heart Association.
The money will be used to help fund research, programs and education to fight heart disease and stroke, the nation's No. 1 and No. 4 killers.
Jump Rope For Heart is a program that promotes physical activity and heart health through jumping rope. It is co-sponsored by the American Heart Association and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
