ALBANY - Albany public schools are giving active community members a warm haven from the winter weather by opening the school facilities to those who want to walk during the cold winter months.

The school will be open Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. for those wanting to take advantage of this.

Interested walkers must register ahead of time at the district office between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
