ALBANY - The Albany Parent-Teacher Organization will host its annual PTO Carnival and Raffle from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 28 in the school gyms and cafeteria.

The raffle will return this year with prizes ranging from gift baskets from local businesses and sponsors to Country on the River tickets. Games and attractions include a bounce house, an obstacle course, a cake walk, face painting, hair chalk, hair beading, a fire truck and visits from Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and three Green County Dairy Queens.

Raffle tickets are $1 each and are available for pre-order at the Albany Elementary School main office. They will also be available at the event. Tickets for games and attractions start at 50 cents each. There will be walking tacos, hot dogs and snow cones for sale.

The carnival is a PTO fundraising event with all of the proceeds benefiting Albany students. The funds raised will help pay for field trip transportation, student activities, classroom technology and supplies, and teacher, classroom and staff requests. This year the proceeds will benefit the art and music departments.

Help is always welcomed and appreciated. To donate time or goods, contact the PTO on Facebook or email albanypto@gmail.com.
