MONROE - The Green County Genealogical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Albany Historical Society in Albany. A short business meeting will precede a tour of the facilities. Picnic in the park or enjoy Heritage Day vendors for lunch. The afternoon cemetery walk at the Attica Cemetery will complete the monthly meeting.
GCGS has obtained office and library space and has moved in on the north side of the Square. It is organizing materials and hopes to offer research hours in the near future. The society, organized eight years ago, has been gathering materials and soon will be able to offer these documents and papers to the public for further research.
