MONROE — F.A.I.T.H. Addiction Awareness has announced their 5th annual run/walk event slated for Saturday, Aug. 24 at Monroe Clinic.
The organization of F.A.I.T.H. is a non-profit group started by two moms who have lived with family members fighting drug addiction. One goal of the group is to offer education about addiction and mental health issues to local students around Green County, and last March they held “Rise Together,” where a nationally renowned team of recovering addicts shared their message with students in New Glarus, Albany, Monticello, Brodhead, Juda, Monroe and Black Hawk school districts. F.A.I.T.H. also works together with Green County Human Services AODA, GUPPY (Green Country United Prevention Professionals for Youth), Drug Court, and families and addicts in crisis.
