JANESVILLE - The Rock County Historical Society is seeking "workers" to audition for "Working" the musical, based on the book by Studs Terkel. "Working" is a collection of real-life stories of workers in America. This musical production is part of a month-long celebration of the American worker by the Rock County Historical Society.
There are singing and non-singing roles for ages 18 to 65 plus. No experience needed. Workers portrayed in the play include: firemen, policemen, millworkers, waitresses, steel workers, office workers, teachers, and truck drivers, to name a few. Real workers are encouraged to audition.
Auditions will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Helen Jeffris Museum Center, 426 N. Jackson, Janesville.
