DARLINGTON - Christina Acherman, Darlington, was selected as the Memorial Healthcare Foundation Grants and Career Development Committee's employee healthcare scholarship recipient for 2012.
Acherman received the $1,000 award on Aug. 14. The Memorial Healthcare Foundation offers grant money to hospital employees for continuing education, including meetings and classes, that are not covered by Lafayette County.
Acherman has been a medical lab tech at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County since 2007. She is currently studying for her bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory sciences from the University of Cincinnati through their Distance Learning Program. Acherman is married to Brian Acherman and they have one daughter, Emilee.
