IOWA CITY, Iowa - Maria Fernan Larraga Martinez, a University of Iowa student from Monroe, was named to the UI president's list for the spring 2016 semester.
To be included on the list, a student must have a minimum 4.0 GPA in all academic subjects for the preceding two semesters, with a total of at least 12 semester hours of credit per semester during that period. Approximately 400 students were named to the president's list for the spring 2016 semester.
Martinez also was named to the dean's list.
About 4,500 students were named to the UI dean's list for the 2016 spring semester. Other area students named to the dean's list are:
