Emma Fenner, Monticello, has accepted membership in the National Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies for first-year students at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She was initiated April 24 during Honors Week at UW-Eau Claire. Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma are national honor societies that encourage and recognize academic excellence among first-year students. Membership in the honor societies is open to full-time freshmen who earn a GPA of at least 3.5 and are in the top 20 percent of their class.
